Transportation Infrastructure Maintenance Technician I

First-level vocational position accountable for technical work in involving the least complex equipment operation and maintenance. Employees may also be responsible for repairing traffic signals; installing and maintaining signs; applying herbicide, pesticide, and snow and ice chemicals; striping; traffic control; pothole patching; and responding to natural and man-made disasters.

Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency.

Transportation Infrastructure Maintenance Technician II

Second-level vocational position accountable for technical work in involving the more complex equipment operation and maintenance. Employees may also be responsible for repairing traffic signals; installing and maintaining signs; applying herbicide, pesticide, and snow and ice chemicals; striping; traffic control; pothole patching; and responding to natural and man-made disasters.

Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 1-2 years of experience.

Transportation Infrastructure Maintenance Technician Team Lead

First-level supervisory position accountable for coordinating and directing of the work of maintenance technicians. Employee supervision includes hire recommendations; training; work planning, assignments, and review; and performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. Supervision at this level also requires these employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen.

Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 5+ years of experience.

Transportation Infrastructure Maintenance Technician Supervisor

Second-level supervisory position accountable for coordinating and directing of the work of multiple maintenance supervisors. Jobs at this level may oversee more complex work or be requires to oversee work in multiple technical areas or departments. Employee supervision includes hire recommendations; training; work planning, assignments, and review; and performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. Supervision at this level also requires these employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen.

Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency, 7+ years of experience, and 1-2 years of supervisory experience.

Transportation Infrastructure Maintenance Technician Manager

Supervisory/managerial position accountable for planning, organizing, budgeting, allocating resources for moderate to complex projects and departments. Duties include development of comprehensive recommendations on assigned departmental operations, coordination and review of work projects, and developing strategies to maximize materials and labor expenditures. Incumbents at this level have managerial and technical accountability for the overall results of the assigned organizational units. Accountable for developing plans for the assigned organizational units and for delegating the achievements of objectives to the relevant teams.

Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency, 8+ years of experience, and 2-4 years of supervisory experience.
