Group Description


Jobs in this occupational group are involved in managing and protecting the state’s environment and natural resources. This includes managing programs that educate and promote environmental awareness and protection, studying or researching environmental concerns, developing and/or ensuring compliance with policies, rules, and laws, and providing technical or laboratory work that supports these programs. Job families include: Chemistry, Geologist, Engineering, Forestry, Environmental/Natural Resources Technical, Environmental Control, and Environmental/Natural Resources Program Management.
